Another sunny day in LouGuan Tai

Up at 6 .30 for coffee and sweet bread and jam for breakfast, although chilly you could see it was going to be a nice sunny day, I popped outside to take these pictures of the sun coming up.

During the day as it was so warm we sat outside reading and chatting .  We also helped Clare a volunteer passionate about the black bears makes some treats. We stuffed raisins and peanuts into small pieces of bamboo.  Elizabeth and Lyndall also made some fruit trees.

We discovered we could order chips at Mr Dengs, they were not chips as we know but more like grated potato fried.  However skinny it was lovely to eat something almost western and this became one of our regular side dishes.
After dinner Tiger took us for a walk up the mountain to visit the new panda base being built, it should be ready in 2013.  The new base is going to be wonderful , big and spacious and lots of new facilities.

The day would not be complete without a walk around the panda enclosure and a few more photos.
